Kat holds a First Class Equine Science Degree (specialising in equine behaviour and learning theory). Her pioneering dissertation on equine learning theory and training was awarded a ‘First class’ and was shortlisted for the 1999 Equvalan Thesis of the Year award. In 1999 she was also invited as a guest speaker to present her dissertation to the Equine Behaviour Forum’s 25th birthday symposium at De Montford University.
